Lassen Volcanic National Park has begun work on a Wilderness Stewardship Plan. This plan will provide guidance on the management of wilderness within Lassen Volcanic National Park.
Planning Process
Lassen encourages the public to participate in two comment periods in the project planning process.
1. Internal Scoping
2. Public Scoping
3. Draft Environmental Assessement
4. Public Review
5. Final Environmental Assessement
Public Scoping
The park is currently in the intial stages of public scoping for the Wilderness Stewardship Plan. A brief public scoping guide is provided to give you the opportunity to reflect on and consider what is important to you regarding Lassen Wilderness. During the public scoping period, the public is welcome to submit general comments on wilderness management at Lassen Volcanic National Park. More information about the public scoping process will be distributed through this website, social media, and open house events. Please check back for more information in the coming months.
