Educational Programs Scheduled for Lake Mohave

Rangers from Lake Mead National Recreation Area's Katherine Ranger Station near Bullhead City, Arizona, will host a series of visitor programs during July of 2002.

Library Outreach Programs on Endangered Species will be offered on July 8 at the Bullhead City Library from 10-11 a.m. and on July 16 at the Searchlight Library from 2-3 p.m. A program entitled "Geology for the Whole Family" will be offered at the Bullhead City Library on July 13 from 11-12 a.m.

July 25 will feature a program entitled "Wildside", and is appropriate for children of any age. The focus will be on water and how it affects our environment. The program will be held at the picnic area in South Telephone Cove at 12:30 p.m.

Evening programs will be presented in the Cottonwood Cove Amphitheater, located in the lower campground area. On July 6, the "Amazing Animals" found at Lake Mead will be featured. The program on July 20 is entitled "Bats in My Hair", and will present interesting information about these misunderstood mammals. Both start at 8:30 p.m.
