The 24th annual Parade of Lights, will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 2, leaving Lake Mead Marina at 6 p.m. headed for Boulder Beach and Hemenway Harbor before returning to the Marina.

“We are honored to participate in this annual event,” said Bill Dickinson, acting park superintendent. “This year, our first year with entrance stations, we will waive the entrance fees for visitors coming to the park as spectators for the Parade of Lights beginning at 2 p.m.”

Although no fees will be collected, the entrance stations will remain open after 2 p.m. to provide information and facilitate entrance into the park.

Lake Mead Boat Owner’s Association officials anticipate 50 entries in the parade. Mail registration is open until Nov. 22 although walk-up applications will be accepted up to 2 p.m. on parade day providing the total number of entries does not exceed 50. The parade is only open to motorized craft, 16-feet or larger; sailboard or jet skis are not eligible.

Parade officials require all entrants to check-in at the Lake Mead Marina Restaurant between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., Dec. 2. In case of inclement weather, judging will be done dockside.
