BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. - The National Park Service is advising area fishermen that the popular fish cleaning station at Katherine Landing on Lake Mohave will be going out of service beginning Monday Feb. 9.
The station will be out of service for approximately six weeks as crews replace it with a new fish cleaning station.

Lake Mead was named in honor of Dr. Elwood Mead. As Commissioner of Reclamation from 1924 - 1936, he drafted new specifications for a giant project that would dam the Colorado River and create the world's (at that time) largest artificial lake.
