Teacher Workshops
We are expanding our education outreach through teacher workshops. The purpose of the workshops is to build strong partnerships with teachers, so they understand the resources available to them at Lake Mead National Recreation Area and how to use the park as an outdoor classroom. We provide the training and tools and the opportunity for teachers to conduct their own field trips within the park, or, if they prefer, to schedule a ranger led field trip.

Those that complete the 16 hour workshop(two 8 hour days) are given priority for scheduling their class for a field trip. The workshop is accredited for professional development. For more information on workshops this school year, please call the Environmental Education office at (702) 293-8716.
