Ranger-led Programs
The
National Park Service presents a variety of ranger-led
programs throughout the year. The programs will occur at
different locations in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area
ranging from Meadview to Boulder Beach to Katherine Landing.
Remember: Being safe while having fun means being prepared. Bring plenty of water (2 liters or
more), appropriate gear such as hats, sunglasses, sunscreen, and extra layers; a lunch for longer hikes, and accessories such as a camera or binoculars if desired. |

Lake Mead
The National Park Service is presenting a variety of guided hikes throughout the spring season. These programs will occur at different locations in Lake Mead National Recreation Area. For more information and reservations call the Alan Bible Visitor Center at 702.293.8990 between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Reservations are required for all hike programs.

| Signature Rock Hike

Reservations are required. Signature Rock Hike Hike a desert wash into the beautiful Pinto Valley wilderness area to see Signature Rock and other remnants of years past. This is a strenuous, eight-mile hike. |

Reservations are required. The silvery glow of the full moon will light the way as we hike on Fisherman’s Trail at a relaxed pace and enjoy the beauty of the night. Providing a unique opportunity for group interaction, this is an easy, one-mile hike. |

Reservations are required. This hike travels to an area of stark black volcanic rock for views of Lake Mead and the surrounding rugged mountain landscapes. This is a moderate 4-mile hike. |

Reservations are required. Hike up a dry wash to see Anniversary Mine and spectacular geologic patterns of color on the rocks in Rainbow Canyon. This is a moderate, six-mile hike. |

Reservations are required. Walk a level trail that goes through a large railroad tunnel, following a historic railroad bed used to transport supplies to the Hoover Dam construction site. Enjoy spectacular views of the Boulder Basin and learn the fascinating history of this cultural landmark. This is an easy, two-mile hike. |

| Arizona Hot Springs Hike

Reservations are required. The natural history of the area is the highlight of this hike, which leads through scenic White Rock Wash to Arizona Hot Springs near the Colorado River below Hoover Dam. This is a moderate, six-mile hike. |
