You can donate directly to Lake Mead National Recreation Area by sending a check to the Superintendent, Lake Mead NRA, 601 Nevada Way, Boulder City, NV 89005. The Western National Parks Association (WNPA) offers publications, maps, slides, posters, videos, and other informational materials on Lake Mead National Recreation Area and other parks throughout the western states. Select bookstore for more information on WNPA and where you can purchase items.

Did You Know?

Hoover Dam In Take Towers

Lake Mead was named in honor of Dr. Elwood Mead. As Commissioner of Reclamation from 1924 - 1936, he drafted new specifications for a giant project that would dam the Colorado River and create the world's (at that time) largest artificial lake.
