NPS Rangers are evacuating visitors from the Cottonwood Cove developed area at Lake Mead National Recreation Area because of a water system failure. Cottonwood Cove is on a well system. The damage to the well water delivery system is being evaluated and at this time we do not know how long it will be down.

Cottonwood Cove is on the Nevada side of Lake Mohave and is accessed on land through the town of Searchlight, NV.
