BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY AVAILABLE TO OPERATE FUEL STATION AT ECHO BAY

BOULDER CITY, Nev. - The National Park Service is soliciting applications for a business opportunity to provide water-based fuel services at Lake Mead National Recreation Area's Echo Bay.Applications must be received by 3 p.m. May 15.

The previous water-based fuel station closed Feb. 1 when the temporary contract under which it was operating expired. Park officials hope to restore this service before the busy summer season because the closest alternative water-based fuel is now 30 miles away at Callville Bay.

The new in-park commercial use authorization permit will be for an initial term of one year beginning May 20, 2013, through May 19, 2014. To view more details about the opportunity, visit http://www.nps.gov/lake/parkmgmt/businesswithpark.htm.

All applications must be received by the Concession Management Office, Lake Mead National Recreation Area, 601 Nevada Way, Boulder City, Nev., 89005, no later than 3 p.m. PST May 15.

For questions or assistance in obtaining an application packet, please contact Heidie Grigg at 702-293-8923 or e-mail us.
