IMPROVEMENTS BEING MADE TO LAS VEGAS BAY CAMPGROUND

BOULDER CITY, Nev. – A portion of the Las Vegas Bay Campground at Lake Mead National Recreation Area is receiving a $200,000 renovation.

The first loop of the campground, sites 1-7 and 59-85, will be temporarily closed for one month while native trees and shrubs and an automatic, underground drip irrigation system is installed. These improvements will promote water conservation and provide shade, privacy and windbreak.

The main access road and remaining two-thirds of the campground will remain open to the public during the construction.

Funding for this project has been provided through the sale of federal lands in Southern Nevada authorized by the Southern Nevada Public Land Management Act. The contractor is E-Corp from Las Vegas.
