Lake Clark National Park and Preserve is working to update the General Management Plan (GMP). The GMP is the planning document that guides our day to day operation, sets priorities for park management and informs our decision-making. Opportunities to review planning documents and provide comments are announced through the NPS Planning, Environment and Public Comment System.

Salmon migrate to the Lake Clark area from as far away as the western end of the Aleutian chain. During their homeward journey, they average 35 miles per day.
