Fishing and Hunting Fishing in Lake Clark National Park and Preserve is generally good and the most common fish caught include grayling, Dolly Varden, red salmon, and lake trout. Sport hunting is not allowed in the National Park but is allowed in the National Preserve portion under Alaska State Fish and Game regulations. An Alaska State Fishing or Hunting License is required. Licenses and tags for out of state residents can be acquired in Anchorage or in Port Alsworth. Most lodges in Port Alsworth sell licenses. Tags can be obtained at Lake Clark Air.
