Fish of Puget Sound

The Puget Sound has an abundance fish species unfortunately many of these populations are in decline. To manage certain fisheries there are now various size limits and limited seasons.


Salmon and Trout: King,Chum, Pink, Coho, Cutthroat Trout, Dolly Varden

Groundfish: Halibut, Rockfish,Sablefish,Pacific Hake, Spotted Ratfish, Spiny Dogfish, Lingcod, Leopard Shark, Pacific Cod, Sturgeon, Flatfish

Small fish: Seaperch, Smelt
