Dear Educators;
For instructors who are looking for a comphrehensive curriculum-based lesson plan about the Klondike Gold Rush, we are pleased to offer "Seattle's Stake in the Klondike Gold Rush."
For instructors who are limited by time and looking for activities to supplement their Klondike Gold Rush studies, the following Activity Lesson Plans were adapted for our "Seattle's Stake in the Klondike Gold Rush" curriculum.
The Klondike Gold Rush was a key event in the economic development of Seattle and the Puget Sound region. In 1897, seventy thousand stampeders headed for Seattle to equip themselves with a year's worth of food, clothing, and equipment so that they could live in the Yukon Territory of Canada as they sought their fortunes.
