Everyone is invited to attend the Fourth Annual Far North Conservation Film Festival held in the National Park Service Auditorium at 2nd & Broadway on Friday, March 9 and Saturday, March 10.A total of 12 movies will be shown over the course of two evenings.The movies will start at 6:00 p.m. on both nights and will conclude around 8:15 p.m.Conservation of wildlife, cultures, and wild places from around the world will be featured. The movies range in length from 2 minutes to 79 minutes. Film titles from Friday's offerings will include student offerings from Lewis & Clark National Historic Monument's 2010 Film Camp (14 min), as well as Trees (2 min), The Krill is Gone (2 min), Lost and Found (24 min), Sustainable Northern Shelter (8 min), and Bag It (79 min). Saturday offerings will include The Windmill Farmer (4 min), Corner Plot 10 min), Truck Farm (48 min), and Fresh (72 min).These diverse videos are part of the Far North Conservation Traveling Film Festival, coordinated by Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve in Fairbanks.
