Welcome to Our Volunteers In Parks (VIP) Program

The VIP Program at Kings Mountain NMP allows people to step in and lend a helping hand to park staff while providing services that support the park's mission.

VIP projects include:

  • Staffing visitor center information desk
  • Presenting interpretation, education and living history programs
  • General maintenance assistance
  • Assisting with Resource Management projects
  • Maintaining trails

One trailer pad with full hook-ups for personal travel homes is available. Housing is very limited depending on availability and season.

Did You Know?
Major Patrick Ferguson was the only Briton at the battle of Kings Mountain. The 1,000 or so men fighting on the British side were all American born.
