Special Places, Special People

National Parks are special places and they need special people, like YOU to become Junior Rangers to help protect them.

Special Places
Why are National Parks special? National Parks protect some of the best of America's natural and historical objects and places. Canyons and caves, fish and forests, boats and battlefields; these are just a few of the things taken care of by special people like Junior Rangers and people who work for the National Park Service. You can help, too!

Special People
It takes many different types of people to protect National Parks. Some people study plants and animals, some build and fix park roads, some teach others about how great the parks are. Junior Rangers teach people too! They learn about parks so they can tell their families and friends why National Parks are special places.
