Kennesaw, GA: On Saturday, April 6, 2013, from 9 am - noon, volunteers are needed to help with rehabilitating sections of the park's environmental trail and Visitor Center picnic area. Those interested need only bring themselves! All tools will be provided, but you may bring gloves if you like. Because of the nature of the work, children should be no younger than 9-10 years old.

Boy and Girl Scout troops may use Park Day to earn badges and the day is wonderful for team building for businesses. Groups are encouraged to attend. You may sign up by email @ Benita_Duling@nps.gov, providing name, phone number and the number participating.

Park Day is an annual volunteer effort to help maintain Civil War sites across the country in conjunction with the Civil War Preservation Trust and History (formerly known as the History Channel). For more information or questions, please call 770-427-4686 x 0 between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, or visit www.civilwar.org/aboutus/events/park-day.
