You asked, we answered....
Try the The Junior Ranger Program and earn a badge, walk some of the 18 miles of the interpretive trails or during the summer months watching the artillery demonstrations are always a favorite. Scouts can earn patches by hiking the trails or conducting a service project. For more information contact the visitor center.

Here's how

Hey kids do you want to remember your trip to Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield for years to come? Here's your chance. Purchase a Jr. Ranger booklet for only $3.00 in the bookstore and you're ready to go. After completing the activities in the Junior Ranger book, you will receive a Junior Ranger badge and have a National Park Ranger sign and present a certificate to our newest Jr. Ranger.

Pick up your book in the visitor center bookstore to begin your adventure.
The walk from the parking area to the Illinois Monument is approximately 200 yards.  

Did You Know?
Confederate armies were usually named for states or regions where they campaigned, while union armies were named after major rivers. Thus the Confederate Army of Tennessee opposed to the Union Army of the Tennessee.
