Kennesaw, The Bold and Striking Twin Mountain

Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park is unusual because it offers educators and students a combination of environmental and historical study in one beautiful place. Nestled in the Piedmont geologic province of north Georgia, Kennesaw Mountain is a 300 million year old witness to years of historic change, both natural and social. Teachers may schedule a field trip, borrow traveling trunks, and access lesson plans and classroom-based activities.
