Baltimore Checkerspot Butterfly

Michael Wilderman

Many butterfly larvae feed only on native flowers.

Balancing the management goals of man made ponds and natural wetlands makes this site a great spot for birding, for seeing muskrat, reptiles, many species of dragon flies, and amphibians. If you are lucky, in winter, you might spot the fox and mink that hunt here.
