Many butterfly larvae feed only on native flowers. Michael Wilderman
As areas outside the park are developed many animals, unexpected in an urban area, are turning up here. One may find fox, mink, and otter. Trying to balance the management goals of an aquatic garden and a wetland area make this a unique habitat for wildlife. Winter is the best time to see these as leaves are off the trees, but keep in mind that the wildlife is wild. Do not approach any animals you might see.
A good word about mosquitoes.... Our hours avoid some hungry wildlife.
