Plan A Field Trip

Facilities: 7 acres of ponds, 70 acres of marsh and swamp including some of the original to Washington and some constructed in the 1990s,  a boardwalk and river trail, a visitor center with bathrooms next to it, a few picnic tables.  We ask groups using the park and eating here to bring trash bags and take trash back with them when they leave.

To arrange a field trip teachers can call the park at 202-426-6905.   We try to accommodate as many learning objectives as we can so please list objectives you would like us to cover.  We will develop a program to meet those needs if possible.

No reservation is needed to use the park during regular hours for self paced programs.
