Evening Programs

Evening Programs

After a long day of bear viewing, fishing, hiking, or relaxing, what could be better than attending an Evening Program?  Each night from June 7th until September 17th, please join an Interpretive Park Ranger in the Brooks Camp auditorium for an illustrated talk.  Topics for these thirty to forty minute illustrated talks vary nightly, but you can be sure to have fun and learn about Katmai's rich natural and cultural heritage at each one.  Inquire at the Brooks Camp visitor center for tonight's featured topic.

Oil on Katmai Coast

Did You Know?
In 1989, the Exxon Valdez oil spill heavily impacted the remote Katmai coast. Although the spill occurred over 250 miles away, more than 1055 tons of oiled debris was removed from the park’s shores and in some areas can still be seen today.
