| Daily November 8 through November 21 |
|
10 a.m. to 2 p.m. — Cruising Joshua Tree (30 minutes) Rangers will introduce you to park resources, popular sites, and a few surprises at the Joshua Tree and Oasis visitor centers. |

10 a.m. & 1 p.m. — Keys Ranch Tour (1½ hours, ½ mile on unpaved trails) This ranger-guided tour explores the colorful story and numerous artifacts of this Mojave Desert historical site. Purchase tickets by phone at 760.367.5555 and at the Joshua Tree and Oasis visitor centers prior to the tour day or, at the ranch gate, space available, on the day of the tour. Tickets cost $5 for adults and $2.50 for Senior Pass holders, Access Pass holders, and children (6–11). |
| Sunday November 8 & 15 |

9 a.m. (11/15 only) — 49 Palms Oasis Hike (3 hours, 3 miles, 300 foot elevation gain — twice) Wear sturdy boots and bring snacks and water on this scenic hike. Turn left from HWY 62 onto Canyon Road, which is located four miles west of Twentynine Palms, and follow it to the parking area. |

1 p.m. (11/15 only) — How to Use a Compass (30 minutes) Meet on the patio at Cottonwood Visitor Center. |

|
7 p.m. — Evening Programs (1 hour) Roadrunners (11/13 only) at Cottonwood Campground amphitheater; A Stellar Place at Jumbo Rocks Campground amphitheater. |
| Saturday November 14 and 21 |
|
9 a.m. (11/14 only) — Mastodon Peak Hike (3 hours) Learn about natural and cultural history as you walk the trail with a park volunteer. Meet at the Cottonwood Spring parking lot. |

10 a.m. (11/21 only) — Barker Dam Nature Hike (1½ hours, 1 mile on a mostly flat trail with some rock steps) Meet in the Barker Dam parking area. |
|
1 p.m. (11/14 only) — Tortoise Talk (30 minutes) Children should bring their parents to the Cottonwood Visitor Center patio to learn about the desert tortoise and make a souvenir. |
|
1 to 3 p.m. (11/21 only) — Views From Keys View (20 minutes) Stop by the Keys View overlook to see how rock, air, and water move in the scenery before you. |
|
7 p.m. — Cottonwood Evening Programs (1 hour) Bighorn Sheep, Symbol of the Desert on 11/14 and Roadrunners on 11/21 at Cottonwood Campground amphitheater |

7 p.m. (11/21 only) — Jumbo Rocks Evening Program (1 hour) A Stellar Place at Jumbo Rocks Campground amphitheater. |
