September 16 Meeting Rescheduled
|
Due to recent storm and flooding events, Joshua Tree National Park is canceling the Pinto Basin Road public meeting scheduled on Friday, September 16 at 9 am. The public meeting is being rescheduled on Friday, September 30 from 9 to 11 am in the resource conference room located at 74485 National Park Drive in Twentynine Palms, California. Torrential rains caused widespread flash flooding in the Pinto Basin and Cottonwood Spring areas of the park on Tuesday morning, September 13. Extensive flood damage occurred to Pinto Basin Road, with loss of pavement in numerous areas. The September 16 meeting has been rescheduled because park staff are continuing to assess the full extent of the damage and are not available to attend. |
