Deteriorating conditions of Black Rock Canyon Road
The road leading to Black Rock campground has deep potholes, is deeply rutted, and can be difficult to negotiate, especially in large vehicles. Please drive with caution.

Man Found Dead In Vehicle
Responding to a missing persons report, park rangers discovered the body of a Niles, Illinois man on Saturday afternoon. The 34-year old individual was found inside a vehicle parked at the Ocotillo Patch, a scenic pullout along Pinto Basin Road.
Rangers were unable to resuscitate the individual, and the Riverside County Sheriff's Department was notified for further investigation. The cause of death is under investigation by the Riverside County Coroner's Office.
