Release Date: August 16, 2013 The phone service at Joshua Tree National Park headquarters and Oasis Visitor Center has been down since early August. Visitors may contact the Joshua Tree Visitor Center at 760-366-1855, if they have questions or need assistance. Information is also available on the park website: www.nps.gov/jotr. The Black Rock education office is also unable to receive calls. Teachers and school groups wanting to schedule programs for the coming year are asked to contact Education Specialist Lorna Lange at lorna_lange@nps.gov to inquire about educational offerings. To view programs, teachers are encouraged to visit the For Teachers section of the park website: www.nps.gov/jotr/forteachers/index.htm.
