JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK, Twentynine Palms, California – The climbing area known as the "Towers of Uncertainty" has been reopened by the park. The area, which is approximately 4 km or 2.5 miles south of Geology Road, was closed March 30 in order to protect nesting raptors.

Park Wildlife Ecologist Michael Vamstad said, "We believe two chicks were raised and successfully made it out of the nest. This is the third year in a row that red-tails have been successful in this location." The area is open to all normal activities.
