Park Boulevard, from North Entrance in Twentynine Palms to Pinto Basin Road, remains closed due to a heavy rain and flooding that occurred September 7, 2013. Significant debris is still blocking portions of the road, and some road damage has occurred.

Several unpaved roads, including Queen Valley Road, Big Horn Pass Road, the road to Keys Ranch, and Geology Tour Road, also remain closed due to the storm.

An assessment yesterday revealed additional damage to Jumbo Rocks Campground and it is closed for repair. Bell and White Tank campgrounds have been opened to accommodate campers.

Further updates on facility closures will be issued as conditions change.

Be storm safe. Use extreme caution when traveling in flood-prone areas. Do not enter washes with running water. Be observant of National Weather Service alerts and forecasts. Check the park website for additional information. www.nps.gov/jotr
