National Park Week Begins With Jr Ranger Day

National Park Week begins this year with Junior Ranger Day on April 20 and runs through April 28. Entrance fees will be waived from Monday, April 22 through Friday, April 26. The fee waiver does not include camping fees.This year's theme, "Did you know...," provides a fun way to discover the wonders of America's national parks.

Children and their families may celebrate Junior Ranger Day on Saturday, April 20 by attending special Junior Ranger activities designed to be fun and educational, and that allow each child to earn a Junior Ranger badge. In addition to the the regular schedule of Ranger Programs, Special National Park Week programs will be offered, including a bird walk, a hike up Ryan Mountain, and a yoga practice.

Schedules of Ranger Programs, National Park Week programs, and Junior Ranger Day activities are available at visitor centers and entrance stations.
