Joshua Tree Hosts 18th Annual Art Festival

Art and nature come together on April 2, 3, and 4 at Joshua Tree National Park’s Eighteenth Annual Art Festival. Held at the Oasis of Mara Visitor Center, show hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.

More than 25 artists representing a variety of styles and media will be on-hand to exhibit and sell their work. The purpose of the show is to highlight artistic creativity inspired by the plants, animals, rocks, and other resources at Joshua Tree National Park and the desert southwest. Visitors will be able to meet the artists and learn what it was in their desert view that so inspired their creativity.

The annual art festival is sponsored by the Joshua Tree National Park Association, a non-profit organization that provides support and assistance to the park’s interpretive, educational, and scientific programs. Admission is free. The Oasis Visitor Center is located at 74485 National Park Drive in Twentynine Palms. Apart from the annual art show, the visitor center features exhibits, publications, park information, films, and National Park Service ranger programs. Visitor center hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
