Q. Where do you reside?
A. I reside at Derry.

Q. You were at Derry when it commenced to rain on Thursday?
A. Yes, sir, I was at Derry on Thursday.

Q. Did it rain very heavily during the night?
A. Well, we have had heavier rains at Derry. The water wasn't as high at Derry as it has been.

Q. Where did you go on Friday?
A. On Friday, I remained at Derry all day.

Q. Did it continue to rain all day Friday at Derry?
A. It rained a great deal during the day, but there were times when it didn't rain. The streams were not as much swollen at Derry as they have been before. The rain fell at Derry was not unprecedented.

Q. Did you see the big flood at Johnstown two years ago?
A. I didn't see it at the time, I knew of it. I have not personal knowledge of the extent of it.

Q. Were there any bridges carried away during this last flood in the neighborhood of Derry, on the Conemaugh?
A. The nearest bridges from Derry onmthe [sic] Conemaugh were at Bolivar, and Blairsville, and they were washed away.
