Operating Hours & Seasons

Visitor Center:
The park Visitor Center is open 7 days a week 9 am to 5 pm all year-round. We are closed on Federal winter holidays: Thanksgiving Day, December 25, January 1, Martin Luther King Jr. Day (3rd Monday in January), Presidents Day (3rd Monday in February).

South Fork Fishing & Hunting Clubhouse:
The Clubhouse is closed for the 2013 season. Stabilization work is in progress on this historic structure. Planning is in place to have this building open for special dates during the 2014 season (125th Anniversary of the flood). Check back in early spring 2014.

Park Grounds
:
The grounds of the park are open from sunrise to sunset. Pets must be on a 6 foot leash at all times and owners need to clean up after their pet. There are no fees for walking the park grounds.

Memory Jar, Johnstown Flood Museum

People made Memory Jars from items collected among the ruins after the 1889 Flood. There is one such Memory Jar on display at the Johnstown Flood Museum.
