Jeff Reinbold Named Superintendent of National Parks of Western Pennsylvania, Effective January 1, 2012
Effective January 1, 2012, Jeff Reinbold became the new Superintendent of the National Parks of Western Pennsylvania. Keith Newlin, who had been serving as acting Superintendent since February 2011, returned to his role as Deputy Superintendent.

Johnstown Dam

The Dam was originally built by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a reservoir for the canal basin in Johnstown. It took from 1838-1853 to construct and fill, yet the canal system was obsolete by 1854.
