Just to the north across Independence Ave, SW is the Lincoln Memorial, Korean War Veterans Memorial and the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Each of these sites is staffed by a National Park Service Ranger who is available for questions and assistance.

Across the Potomac River from the John Ericsson Memorial is Arlington House-The Robert E. Lee Memorial, another unit of the National Park Service.
