On February 28 and 29, 2012, there will be a battle of minds held at the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site as the site once again hosts its annual Academic Bowl. The Plains High School Museum will be the arena for this yearly battle of local schools that will compete in the 2012 Academic Bowl. On February 28, the middle school bowl teams will be in competition at 9:00am and on February 29, the high school bowl teams will be in competition at 9:00am.

After several rounds of competition, the winning schools will be awarded a trophy and bragging rights for the year. Each team member will also receive a certificate for their participation in the Academic Bowl. Each round of questions will be form topics such as American History, U.S. History, World History, Economics and Geography.
