Join park staff, scientists, birders, and volunteers to inventory the birds of the Barataria Preserve. Teams will identify, count, and record their findings all day (there'll be an after-hours owl team too!). Beginning birders are encouraged and will be teamed up with more experienced birders. Canoeists are needed to inventory waterways and recently acquired swamp areas. Learn more about the bird count here. Participants must register by Friday, January 25.
