America the Beautiful – National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass – Senior Pass
America the Beautiful-National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass-Senior Pass
The Senior Pass replaces the Golden Age Passport.
This is a lifetime pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents ages 62 years or older. The pass provides access to, and use of, Federal recreation sites that charge an Entrance Fee or Standard Amenity Fee. This $10.00 pass admits the holder, and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle, at the "per vehicle" fee. It also admits the pass holder, plus three adults (not to exceed four adults), at "per person" fee areas. Children under the age of 16 years are admitted free. The Senior Pass provides a 50% discount on some Expanded Amenity Fees for facilities and services, such as camping, swimming, boat launching and special interpretive services. In some cases, the 50% discount is extended only to the Senior Pass holder. This pass is non-transferable and does not apply to fees charged by concessionaires or reduce special permit fees.
You can get this pass at participating park sites, including Jefferson National Expansion Memorial. Or you can order it by mail: submit the application found at store.usgs.gov/pass, along with proof of residency and age and $20 ($10 for the pass, plus a $10 processing fee).
