WHAT: The St. Louis Symphony Landmarks Series takes over the Old Courthouse Rotunda on Friday, September 19, for a free chamber concert. The noontime performance features Dvorak’s String Quintet in E-flat major, Viola Quintet, which he composed during the summer he spent in Spillville, Iowa, in 1893. The quintet is composed of violinists Xiaoxiao Qiang and Ann Fink, violists Kathleen Mattis and Christian Woehr and cellist Alvin McCall.

“We are honored that the St. Louis Symphony selected the Old Courthouse to be part of their St. Louis Landmarks Series,” said Ann Honious, Chief, Museum Services and Interpretation, Jefferson National Expansion Memorial. “By expanding their stage to include well-known St. Louis venues, the Symphony brings a way for more people to experience its wonderful music, and allows them to enjoy it in a historic space such as the Old Courthouse.”
