Due to the Industrial Rope Access Project at the Gateway Arch
Visitors may enter the Arch at the south leg only. Tram rides to the top are still available, the observation deck at the top will have restrictions. Usual walking paths may be closed; please look for signage or a Ranger for walking directions.
Each school year, Jefferson National Expansion Memorial offers a limited number of Outreach Programs to schools in the St. Louis region. The programs are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Outreach Programs are free, 60-minute classroom visits by a park staff for grades three and up. The content of the program is a mock trial introducing basic concepts related to the judicial process. Park staff will introduce courtroom roles and procedures and facilitate the trial and jury discussion. Teachers may download mock trial scripts from the Outreach Program Activity Guide.
