Pedestrian Access to the Gateway Arch From Downtown
Pedestrian traffic on the Chestnut, Market St. and Pine St. bridges are closed. This leaves Walnut St. as the only point of entry to the Arch grounds from the city. If you park in the Arch garage there is access from the north end of the park. See maps. More »
Each school year, Jefferson National Expansion Memorial offers a limited number of Outreach Programs to schools in the St. Louis region. The programs are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Outreach Programs are free, 60-minute classroom visits by a park staff for grades three and up. The content of the program is a mock trial introducing basic concepts related to the judicial process. Park staff will introduce courtroom roles and procedures and facilitate the trial and jury discussion. Teachers may download mock trial scripts from the Outreach Program Activity Guide.
