What else can my family do?

From becoming a Junior Archaeologist to a Night Sky Explorer, from being a Junior Ranger Angler to a Junior Cave Scientist, there are many ways to learn about national parks. These programs are a great way to enhance your experiences at some of the best natural and cultural resource sites in the world. Here at Jewel Cave, we participate in the Junior Cave Scientist program.

Love caves? Want to learn more and earn a special Junior Cave Scientist badge? You can pick up a book from any NPS site with a cave or download the book at home. Bring in or mail your completed book to any NPS site with a cave and turn it in to earn your badge!

The main phone line connects visitors with staff at the visitor center. Throughout the year, the phone line is monitored by staff on a daily basis, excluding holidays and days with limited visitor services. Please be advised that after-hours messages are not taken on the system; visitors are encouraged to call the visitor center during normal operations and speak with a park ranger for assistance.
