Summer: High humidity, temperatures average 85 degrees ferenheit, but can reach 100 degrees. Fall: Mild from October to December. 70's to 80's. Winter: Generally mild. Can reach low 30's and 40's during January and February. Spring: Temperatures and humidity start rising again.

Jazz music was born in New Orleans at the turn of the twentieth century, a combination of many musical styles, including blues, gospel and ragtime. The originality of the art form came from its focus on improvisation.
