  • Garfield Home is Closed in September; Visitor Center and Grounds Remain Open

    The Garfield Home is closed from September 2 through March, 2015 for the installation of a new geothermal heating and air conditioning system. The Visitor Center and Grounds will remain open during this time; Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5pm. More »

Kids ages 4-12 are invited to become Junior Rangers! Just ask the ranger or volunteer at the Front Desk for a book when you arrive, and start your quest to earn a Junior Ranger badge and pencil! Check back here soon for a PDF of the book, so you can print it out before your visit!

Garfield's Memorial Library hosted a double wedding in 1888. Harry, Garfield's oldest son, married his second cousin Belle Mason and Molly, the Garfield's only daughter, married Joseph Stanley Brown who was Garfield's private secretary. Many guests were transported on a special train from Cleveland.
