Sharing a World of Resources

Get Free or Inexpensive Resources
This article is from the July 27, 1998, InTouch, the internal NPS interpretation bulletin board.

Greetings from Goddard Space Flight Center!

Are you interested in getting FREE or inexpensive resources to enhance your interpretive program? I am referring to videotapes, CDs, slide sets, curriculum guides, reference books, and more. You won't believe how much material is available through NASA's Educator Resource Center Network. The great thing is you don't even have to be on the Internet to get information. It is quicker and easier, but not mandatory. Some centers are even only a few minutes away from many park sites! They will send catalogs to you free of charge. Listed below are URLs for the World Wide Web connected as well as addresses and phone numbers for those who need them.

If you have any questions or need further assistance please send me a cc:mail message or call (301) 286-0535.

#1. The Educator Resource Center (ERC) network has been established to disseminate information generated by NASA programs, technologies, and discoveries. The NASA educational materials are related to art, mathematics, energy, physics, spaceflight, aeronautics, technology utilization, physical science, and social science careers. These materials supplement regular instructional resources.

The ERC contains a wealth of information for educators such as publications, reference books, slides, audio and video cassettes, telelecture programs, computer programs, lesson plans and activities, posters, and lists of publications from government and nongovernment sources. In the case of media such as audio and video cassettes and computer programs, you must supply the blank cassettes or disks. For further information, please contact the ERC office nearesty you:

A listing of all center and regional ERCs can be found at this WWW link: http://larcpubs.larc.nasa.gov/InfoGuide98/appendixA4.html
