Livestream: Relevance in Our Second Century

The video below was recorded live on April 17, 2014

Feel free to watch the broadcast on demand below. The broadcast introduces Relevance in Our Second Century: A Five-Year Interdisciplinary Strategy for Interpretation, Education and Volunteers. Deputy Director Peggy O'Dell, and Associate Directors Julia Washburn, Stephanie Toothman, and Bert Frost discuss the strategy and feature field examples that illustrate its concepts. There are also questions and dialog with the live audience.

Two-years in the making, with input from hundreds of employees across the Service, this strategy interconnects and supports initiatives from A Call To Action and prepares and propels national park interpretation, education and volunteerism into its 2nd century and beyond. This strategy is designed to help NPS prioritize and expand limited resources, while meeting the needs of 21st Century audiences. It provides guidance on what to do more of, what to do less of and what to do differently, and supports innovation happening in the field.
