Friends of Indiana Dunes are just that - more than 600 individuals who care about, preserve, and promote the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore and Indiana Dunes State Park. The Friends work in partnership with the parks to help support special events. They also:

  • Contribute to outreach programs for children so that they might develop greater appreciations of and respect for nature;
  • Host speakers on a variety of topics related to natural and cultural history;
  • Purchase interpretive items for the parks; and
  • Provide scholarships for underprivileged children to attend Indiana Dunes Environmental Learning Center.
