INDIANA DUNES NATIONAL LAKESHORE: Join a ranger at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore's West Beach on Friday, August 10, from 8 pm - 10 pm for a spectacular evening show courtesy of the annual Perseids Meteor Shower. Learn what causes this annual event and how you can help in the conservation of our night sky. There is no hiking involved in this program. Bring a chair or blanket and meet in the northwest corner of the West Beach parking lot for this two-hour extravaganza. There is a $6 per car fee collected at West Beach until 6:30 pm.

The West Beach entrance is located ½ mile north of the intersection of U.S. Highway 12 and County Line Road. For more information on this or other programs at Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, visit the park website at www.nps.gov/indu/planyourvisit or contact our information desk at 219-395-1882.
