Contact: Bruce Rowe, 219-395-1609
Three sites within Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore may experience brief, temporary closures this winter. West Beach, Tolleston Dunes, and Cowles Bog may be closed on a few weekday afternoons between January 27 and March 31, 2014. The closures are to ensure the safety of the public during resource restoration work related to deer management. These sites will remain open on most weekdays this winter and will be open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore is part of the National Park Service. More than 20,000 National Park Service employees care for America’s 401 national parks and work with communities across the nation to help preserve local history and create close-to-home recreational opportunities.
