Plan A Field Trip

There are three basic types of field trips to Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore.

Self Guided trips

• You coordinate the transportation, supervision, educational, and recreational opportunities.

• West Beach Educational fee waiver instructions - During the summer months (Friday, Memorial Weekend - Monday, Labor Day), the West Beach area of the park is a Federal Recreation Fee Area. Groups visiting the area for educational purposes during this time may obtain a waiver of the recreation fees if the group meets established criteria.

 

Ranger Guided trips

• You coordinate the transportation, supervision, and recreational opportunities.
• At times, we can provide educators for your group based on one of our developed programs that you select. However, for most of the year, staffing is very limited. ...more
