PhiladelphiaThis summer, Independence is the place to be. With longer hours and more exhibits open, Independence National Historical Park is gearing up to welcome visitors from far and wide. Visit Independence Hall, a World Heritage Site. Stop by the Benjamin Franklin Museum to get to know this relevant revolutionary. Walk through the President's House Site and learn about the promises and paradoxes of liberty. Come to celebrate our nation's independence and stay longer to visit more park museums and exhibits!

From June 28 through September 1, Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell Center will open from 9:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m., with extra extended hours until 8:00 p.m. on July 2 through July 5.New this summer, the Benjamin Franklin Museum will be open for extended hours, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (a $5 interpretive fee is charged for this museum).

The New Hall Military Museum, Todd House, Bishop White House and Germantown White House will open to visitors this summer:

·New Hall Military Museum, daily 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

·Todd House and Bishop White Hours, three tours per day, times vary, sign up at the Independence Visitor Center

·Germantown White House, Saturdays, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

No tickets are required for the Liberty Bell Center and no tickets are required for Independence Hall for all tours after 5:00 p.m. Free, timed tickets for Independence Hall tours (needed for all tours from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.) are available at the Independence Visitor Center or online at www.nps.gov/inde.

A unit of the National Park Service, Independence National Historical Park was created by an Act of Congress on June 28, 1948.Accredited by the American Association of Museums, Independence NHP covers almost 54 acres in Philadelphia's Old City, and includes Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, Congress Hall, Franklin Court, and other historic buildings associated with the founding of the United States.
